Compassion For Strays, Inc. is a volunteer-run non-profit incorporated association based in Perth, Western Australia.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to saving stray, abandoned, and mistreated cats and dogs by providing them with food, shelter, veterinary treatment, and essential spaying and neutering. Through rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming, we give these animals a second chance at life.

Spay/Neuter Programs

We partner with veterinary clinics and rescue shelters to implement spaying and neutering programs, tackling overpopulation and reducing suffering.

Veterinary Care for the Vulnerable

We alleviate the pain of sick and injured animals by ensuring they receive the veterinary care and rehabilitation they desperately need.

Fundraising and Partnerships

We raise funds to support our mission and collaborate with other organizations to maximize our impact in rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals.

We are a volunteer-run organization that relies on the compassion and support of people like you to fight a heartbreaking and often overlooked crisis of animal cruelty in countries such as Greece and Cyprus. Stray cats and dogs face unimaginable suffering—poisoning, hanging, drowning, crushing, beheading, deliberate starvation, torture, and mutilation have become horrifyingly common. Despite widespread reports of abuse, governments have turned a blind eye, failing to take meaningful action against these atrocities.

Weak enforcement and minimal consequences for offenders have allowed this cruelty to continue unchecked. Even in the rare cases that reach the courts, the penalties are often so lenient that abusers walk free, ready to commit these heinous acts again. This indifference from authorities has turned countries like Greece and Cyprus into graveyards for countless animals.

The duty to demand change now falls on the global community of animal advocates. We must urge the governments of countries such as Greece and Cyprus to impose strict penalties, establish an Animal Police force, conduct education campaigns about animal cruelty, and raise public awareness to put an end to this animal genocide. Without urgent action, the suffering will persist, and the moral decline will deepen.
